Feinstein's/54 Below254 W 54th St, New York, NY 10019Shana Farr: The Songbook of Barbara Cook
February 3, 2018
Award-winning performer Shana Farr celebrates the legendary Broadway, concert and cabaret star, Barbara Cook in her new show It’s Not Where You Start: The Songbook of Barbara Cook. This show is one of vocal amazement and stellar interpretation that pays tribute to Barbara Cook and her love of music and lyrics with songs by Bernstein, Hammerstein II, Sondheim and more. The show exudes warmth and optimism featuring Barbara’s signature songs such as “’Til There Was You,” “Ice Cream,” “This Is All Very New To Me,” and Bernstein’s astonishing “Glitter and Be Gay” as well as Sondheim greats from Follies, Merrily We Roll Along and Anyone Can Whistle. An engaging, varied and virtuosic evening of optimism, sophisticated silliness, and life experience.
