IMPOSSIBLE BUT TRUE
818 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225, USADan Furman’s “Impossible But True” is an immersive musical staged at Franklin 820,
a local bar in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. The bar is one short block from the
Franklin Ave stop of the 2,3,4 and 5 lines—about 20-25 minutes from Union Square on
the express (4 or 5) trains. There are two more shows: Monday, May 14 at 7pm and
Monday, May 21 at 7pm. The production is free and last 2 hours.Loosely based on the story of Rip Van Winkle, it is a show about believing (or not believing) in possibility.
It follows Rip—an idle storyteller and dreamer—as he goes off to fight in the Revolutionary
War and then cannot find his way home. The music is tuneful and the show is family-friendly
and humorous.Impossible but True (in a tavern) features: Rob Langeder* (Rip), Danielle Erin Rhodes* (Rebecca)
Jerome Harmann-Hardeman* (Vedder/Hudson/Gansevoort), + Abigail Clyne, Charles Ouda, James Scheider*,
Julia Kess, Liesel Lotte, Mark Montague* & Stephanie Lynn Mason*. This production is an Equity Approved
Showcase. (* denotes members of Actors Equity Association)KT Sullivan A Swing Time Kern-U-Copia

One of the shows she created there, “Rhyme, Women, and Song,” was presented this season in a one hour presentation on PBS’ WNET 13. Besides regular appearances In such New York venues as The Laurie Beechman Theatre and 54 Below, she stars annually at The Crazy Coqs in London, and has been showcased at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall,The Kennedy Center, The Spoleto Festival, The Chichester Festival, La Nouvelle Eve in Paris, and The Adelaide Festival in Australia.
