In “I Can Cook,” KT pays tribute to both Barbara and Wally, and the amazing journey that began when they met. The Birdland Theater is happy to announce that singer Jenna Esposito will bring “The Sixties Chicks” to the stage on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7pm. In this brand-new show, vocalist Jenna Esposito takes the audience on a rollicking romp through some of the biggest hits of the 1960’s, all made popular by female vocalists. From “girl group” songs by the Crystals (“And Then He Kissed Me”) and the Chiffons (“One Fine Day”), to the hits of Dusty Springfield (“You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me”), Lesley Gore (“It’s My Party”), and Connie Francis (“Where The Boys Are”), this show will have audiences singing, bopping, and “Dancing In The Streets!” For this show, Jenna will be backed by her four-piece band, led by musical director, Fortune Esposito on guitar, as well as Kelly Esposito-Broelmann and Rob Langeder on background vocals.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that singer Natalie Douglas will return to her home perch at Birdland with another edition of her hit series entitled “TRIBUTES.” One Monday each month, Natalie performs a new tribute show, and on Monday, March 25, she celebrates the luminous singer, songwriter and pianist Roberta Flack.
With her musical director, Mark Hartman, and her band of all-star musicians, Natalie will salute this singular artist’s catalog of songs, including “Killing Me Softly,” “Feel Like Making Love,” “Compared to What,” and “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”
Natalie Douglas is a two-time Bistro, Nightlife and ten-time MAC Award Winner and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Rose Theatre and The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Town Hall among others. She has produced over sixty concerts at Birdland, her musical home. On the occasion of what would have been nightclub legend Bobby Short’s 94th birthday, cabaret and Broadway artist T. Oliver Reid will celebrate the man with a concert entitled, “Distingué…The Songs of the Saloon Singer”. The one-night-only event will take place on Monday, March 25 at 8:30pm.
T. Oliver Reid is a MAC, Bistro and Julie Wilson Award winning recording artist with twelve Broadway shows to his credit, including the critically acclaimed 2018 Tony Award-winner for Best Revival, Once On This Island.

Acclaimed international singer and impressionist, Christina Bianco will give you your musical requests in two minutes or less! Audience members will ‘order-up’ songs from a musical menu that Christina and music director Brian Nash will spontaneously perform ‘on demand.’ Anything from 80’s-pop anthems, to weepy musical theatre ballads, to cartoon theme songs – The Decision Is Yours.
The evening will also feature some of Christina’s signature ‘Unlikely Interpretations’, pairing a singer with an unexpected song. Ever want to hear Julie Andrews sing Aerosmith? This is the show for you! With Christina’s versatile vocals and rapid-fire impressions paired with Brian’s encyclopedic musical knowledge, you can expect an off-the-cuff musical comedy experience like non other – and never to be repeated!

SALON is an ongoing open entertainment event in which singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members. Doors open at 7pm for sign-up. We begin at 7:30, take a 15-minute break around 9pm and end at 10:30. If you would like to sign up to perform, see one the evening’s ‘Mamettes’ to fill out a card with your name, the name of your song, whether or not Mark will be playing for you and any upcoming events you’d like to promote. We do not present performers in order of sign-up, however, indicating requests as clearly and as early as possible as far as time restraints are concerned always makes everything much more possible. ALWAYS BRING SEVERAL SONG SELECTIONS to avoid duplication. All types of material, on or off theme are always welcome at Salon. We enthusiastically welcome instrumentalists, poets, playwrights, essayists, comics, illusionists and performance artists. Please limit your selections to three or four minutes in length (including patter). Please also bring clear, complete charts for Mark to read. Flash photography is not allowed. Please turn off all noise making devices and give performers your undivided attention.
