“Can’t Help Singing - The Music of Jerome Kern” - Urban Stages Winter Rhythms - Dec. 4th, 7 pm

I’m thrilled to return to the Urban Stages Winter Rhythms for this season’s “A Tribute To…” Series, with my Kern show, once again musically directed by my friend, the brilliant Jon Weber! This is one of my favorite shows to perform, originally directed by Eric Michael Gillett. It’s a romantic celebration of Kern’s greatest hits, including “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “All the Things You Are” and “The Way You Look Tonight.” Broadwayworld.com has said, “Raissa Katona Bennett, breathing life into Kern, shows how ‘actable’ the music of Jerome Kern is in her delightful new show. Each song is a little play, and she’s ready to feel every emotion as they occur, bringing us right up to the emotional edge with her.” Tickets go on sale Oct. 1st - more information: Urban Stages.
